During the renovation process, the Government of Vietnam implemented a widely open, multilateral and diviersified policy of foreign economic relations on the principle of respecting each other’ independence, equality, and mutual benefit. This policy had good impacts on the country’s FDI attraction, import and export, technology transferring collaboration, tourism, and services leading to outstanding achievements in the economy development, living condition improvement, and industrialization and modernization process. Importantly, thanks to this policy, the position of Vietnam in the international arena has been hightened a lot.

With an aim to provide the lecturers, researchers and students with a basic and systematical knowledge of foreign economic relation of Vietnam as the regionalization and globalization are taking place very fast all over the world and especially when Vietnam became the 150th member of WTO, the University of Economics and Business would like to introduce the book ’Vietnam Foreign Economic Relations’ written by Assoc.Prof. Dr Phan Huy Duong.

The book has four chapters including:

  • Chapter II: Assessing the potential and conditions to develop foreign economic relations of Vietnam
