UEBers awarded the First runner-up in CIMA Global Business Challenge

Recently, the group students from the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, VNU University of Economics and Business were awarded the “First runner-up” in the CIMA Global Business Challenge.


CIMA Global Business Challenge (CIMA GBC) is an annual international competition organized by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) - the British Association of Chartered Management Accountants - one of the leading Association of Professional Accountants in management accounting. This is a great opportunity for students worldwide to show their abilities in business management and learn how to become future business leaders.

 
 

After the selection rounds, the NH3 team from VNU University of Economics and Business, including Dao Anh Nhu class QH-2018-E KTKT CLC 1, Hoang Thi Hong Nhung - QH- 2019-E KTKT CLC 3; Bui Thu Ngoc - QH- 2019-E KTKT CLC2 and Nguyen Thi Hong - QH- 2019-E KTKT CLC 2 Accountant, became the only representative of UEB in the competition. They overcame many other groups to join the top 5 with students from Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City and three teams from leading universities in Thailand.

“There were times when the whole group got depressed and disappointed, our teachers spent hours to encourage us. They gave us motivation to move forward. All of us felt grateful for what we have received from our teachers during the competition.” Hong Nhung – a member of NH3 said. 

The CIMA Global Business Challenge is an international business competition for undergraduates around the world, designed to bring out the best in the young business leaders of tomorrow.

By working together as a team of four to present a business case study, it is a great opportunity for the students to showcase their talent in business management.
