Launching the competition "Accurate understanding of money"

The competition was organized by UEB - VNU in coordination with the Department of Communications - the State Bank of Vietnam.

The competition of “Accurate understanding of money” (Slogan: Smart Finance - Smart Money) focuses on the following main contents: knowledge of finance, banking, non-cash payment, loan products, limit black credit, investment, spending, and saving ... thereby helping students to form good financial habits such as cashless payments, reasonable spending, saving to invest, avoiding black credit. At the same time, it helps students to have correct understanding of value of money, value of labor, and confidently make reasonable financial decisions.

I. General Information

1. Participants:

Students who are studying at Universities, Institutes and Colleges in the North.

2. Field of competition:

The competition comprises topics related to the personal finance, including:

(i) Non-Cash Payment; loan products, black credit, insurance.

(ii) Financial Management such as savings, student income and expenditure, investment;

3. Schedule:

Registration opening (online)	Teams access the link that the organizers provide and fill in the team information, including: the team name and personal information of each member (each team has 3 members).
10/10/2020	Preliminary Round (online)
14/10/2020	Mentor Day (offline)
17/10/2020	Semi-Finals (offline)
24/10/2020	Final round (offline)

II. Rounds

1. Preliminary

- Online exam

- Time: 30 minutes, from 20:00 to 20:30 on 10/10/2020. After this time, the contest portal will be closed.

- Number of teams: unlimited (Each team includes 3 members)

- The test consists of 31 questions (30 multiple choice questions and 01 essay sentence).

- Method of calculation: Total: 100 points, of which:

- 30 multiple choice questions: 70 points

Level 1: 15 sentences, 2 points / sentence
Level 2: 10 sentences, 2.5 points / sentence
Level 3: 5 questions, 3 points / sentence

- 01 essay sentence (200-300 words): 30 points

- 20 teams with the highest score will advance to the Semi-Final Round. Announce the results on October 12, 2020.

2. Semi-finals

- Location: Room 801, Building E4, UEB - VNU.

- Time: October 17th, 2020

- Number of entries: 20 teams (3 members each team)

3. Final round

- Venue: October 20, hall of Hanoi National University.

- Time: October 24, 2020

Number of entries: 4 teams (3 members each)

- The Final round consists of 3 parts.

Prize structure:

01 First prize: 20,000,000 VND
01 Second prize: 15,000,000 VND
02 third prizes: 5,000,000 VND / prize
02 Extra prizes: 5,000,000 VND / prize
