Aiming at inspiring and promoting creativity in teaching, as well as creating opportunities for teachers of all generations to share experiences and apply innovative teaching methods, VNU University of Economics and Business organizes the contest "Inspirational lessons", details as follows:


I. The purpose of the contest

  • Inspiring and promoting creativity in teaching activities at VNU University of Economics and Business.
  • Creating opportunities for teachers of all generations to share, spread experiences, and apply innovative teaching methods with the view to building a dynamic, quality and creative studying environment.

II. Scope and object

  • Scope: Experiences and innovations in teaching methods in order to get inspirational lessons at VNU University of Economics and Business (applicable to all training systems).
  • Who may apply:

- Lecturers at the UEB

- No more than 03 members in 01 group, participation in the contest is voluntary and contestants must follow regulations. Contestants can apply for different categories.

III. Judges

The members of judge are leading experts with in-depth experiences in the field of education, including 01 leading expert on Educational Organization and Educational Technology from reputable organizations, 02 representatives from Office of Academic Affairs and General Administration will work together with the judges.

- These skills are easy to understand and applicable for almost teachers and subjects

- The majority of students absorb with a positive attitude

- Increasing interactive ability on IT platforms

- The goals achieved in the online classroom / subject must be no less than the one of the offline classroom / subject.

General criteria include:

  • Creativity: Lecturers can stimulate the student’s creativity; learners have the opportunity to synthesize and encourage the development of creative ideas to solve practical problems.
  • Inspiration: Students are excited to enjoy the content conveyed in class.
  • Interaction: Encourage information exchange between teachers and learners both in the classroom and outside the classroom
  • Collaboration: Encourage learners to collaborate and develop group activities, share responsibilities and work assignments to all team members, towards empowerment.
  • Diversity: The product is designed to suit the different learning styles of students, demonstrating different approaches to create a comprehensive learning pathway.
  • Enhance autonomy: The product encourages student autonomy, creates confidence for students and enhances the autonomy ability of students.
  • Feasibility: Contest products should be guaranteed to be implemented immediately in teaching at University of Economics and Business.
  • Spillover: Contest products can be described appropriately and can easily be applied spillovers in different modules at the University of Economics and Business.

V. Schedule

  • May 29, 2020: Registration deadline for the contest
  • June 29, 2020: Deadline for submitting entries.
  • July 14, 2020: Publication of the "UEB Inspirational Lessons" and awarding the prizes.

VII. Awards

The winning individuals/ groups will be awarded the Certificate of Merit by the Rector and receive the following prizes:

  • 01 prize of Inspirational lesson, worth 5,000,000 million VND
  • 08 prizes for different categories, each worth 2,000,000 million VND
  • 01 Group Prize for the faculty/unit having the largest number of contestants, valued 3,000,000 million VND

Chosen submissions will be published in the magazine of "UEB Inspirational Lessons".

The structure of the award is subject to change.
