2019: Welcoming young lecturers to work at the University

Among the 30 lecturers recruited to work at the VNU University of Economics and Business in 2019, there are 13 PhD and 17 Masters. The new lecturers are all young (the average age is 30 years old), most of them graduated abroad and are able to do research and teach in English, many of them have had research article published in ISI and Scopus journals.


Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le - Rector of the University had a meeting with the lecturers in a warm and friendly atmosphere on January 17th, 2020.

Attending the meeting, there were Assoc.Prof.PhD. Tran Duc Hiep - Dean of Faculty of Political Economy, MA. Luu Thi Mai Anh - Head of Office of Communications and Brand Management.

 

Speaking at the meeting, UEB’s Rector sent warm greetings to the enthusiastic young lecturers. He hoped that the lecturers will stand shoulder to shoulder to develop the university.

 

Nearly 30 young lecturers graduated from prestigious universities

Among the newly recruited, there are many lecturers graduated from the UK, the US, Japan and Finland and some have worked for multinational corporations. With increasing recruitment, the total number of UEB’s lecturers reaches 129 with 22% are Professor and Associate professor, 49% are PhDs and over 70% graduated abroad.

 
 

Rector of UEB - Assoc.Prof.PhD. Nguyen Truc Le believes that young lecturers will be a new resource to create stronger resilience of the University in 2020. The lecturers, who have been studying in international prestigious universities are expected to bring a source of energy to the learning environment at the UEB.
