From 2020, UEB’s students can transfer to the University of Exeter - the top 10 university in the UK

On 2nd July 2019, the representatives of the University of Exeter have visited UEB to discuss cooperation opportunities.


Attend the meeting, from the University of Exeter there were Prof. Gabriele Vosseberg, Director of International Development; Mrs. Rachel Jones- Asst Head, Global Partnerships: Business School and Medical School; from the University of Economics and Business, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector; MSc. Nguyen Duc Lam - Deputy Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development ; Dr. Pham Vu Thang - Director of Center for Economic Development Studies.

Prior to the meeting, 2 universities had a working session on information and opportunities for cooperation between two universities in January 2019. After the research process and commitment, two universities decided to discuss in detail the transfer program, opening up the opportunity for students to exchange between two schools, especially the opportunity to receive degrees from the top university in the UK for UEB’s students.

Specifically, the two universities decided to cooperate in transfer training programs, top-up program 2 + 2: continue to build the curriculum framework, equivalent subjects; the guideline, the entry requirements ... exchange students: review the agreement sent by Exeter University. The two universities also agreed to open short-term exchange program for students in various forms such as study tours, thematic courses, cultural exchanges ...

 

In terms of research cooperation, two sides agreed to co-organize Guest lecture on topics such as: Economics Development, Policy Research, Environment Policy, Land Management Policy ... and other contents that are the research strengths of the two universities.

Especially, the Center for Economic Development Studies is interested in research issues on Circular Economy, Entrepreneurship & Start up; Social Enterprise / Social Impact that will be interesting topics for professors at the University of Exeter.

From the above agreements, the two sides concluded that in the coming time, they will sign an official memorandum of understanding on student exchange. Expected by 2020, UEB’s students will have the opportunity to study at the University of Exeter and after 2-year studying at UEB and 2-year studying at the University of Exeter they will receive a globally valuable degree from the University of Exeter.

The Penryn Campus has benefited from the Environment and Sustainability Institute; a £30 million interdisciplinary centre that leads cutting-edge research into the consequences of environmental change and the mitigation and management of its effects, while the Exchange building provides a lecture theatre, library facilities and spaces for small group discussions and exhibitions.

Exeter’s success has been built upon strong foundations of leadership, governance and management, a relentless focus on performance and a sector leading partnership with its students.

For <6.5: can attend the pathway course from 6-11 weeks

- Tuition fee: £ 17,600 / year.
