After the initial discussion, Exeter Business School decided to appoint representatives to work directly with the UEB. Representatives of the two universities discussed the potential cooperation in joint training programs. Prof. Gabriele Vosseberg from Exeter Business School proposed the cooperation in articulation training, 2 + 2 program which has been a major trend of most universities in the world, especially in majors of international economic and business administration.
The leaders also considered the cooperation in exchanging students, organizing short-term course, summer school, study tours (UEB students will go to Exeter and vice versa). In research, two parties agreed to organize guest lectures on some subjects, such as Economics development, Policy research, Environment policy, Land management policy, ... and other contents of the research strengths. It is possible to apply for funding from Newton Fund and other organizations.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the two universities pledged to send specific information about the cooperated programs, tuition fees, and student exchange plans in January. Tow Universities will follow steps to cooperate in the short term. Connecting with a British University, especially a university with a long history in training like Exeter Business School will open more learning and exchange opportunities for UEB’s students.
