From UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector; representatives of Office of Research and Partnership Development and lecturers, UEB’s students.
SMU has a wide range of doctoral programs, especially in Finance, Marketing, Organizational Management, Human Resources, Strategic Management and Organization. Doctoral in Advanced Economics, specializing in: Econometrics, Health Economics, International Trade, Urban and Land Economics… Besides, Accounting, Information Systems and Psychology are also attracted many international students.
In addition, doctoral students who participate in the programs, are equipped with soft skills such as, teaching skills, presentation in English, writing skills in science, job development, and learned in the international environment.
SMU sponsors scholarships (including tuition and living expenses per month) for doctoral students. Besides, SMU encourages doctoral students to participate in the international seminar. SMU will grant SGD 3,500 when doctoral students participate in international conferences and share their research.
With the information provided by SMU, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - UEB’s Vice Rector emphasized that this was a great opportunity for students who intend to take part in doctoral programs, especially for new graduates meeting all the requirements to earn a scholarship. Mrs. Thu also said that the learning environment in Singapore was on the top of Asia; some schools are in the top of the world; hence, she wished that the UEB’s students will quickly catch up this opportunity to study, the University will be supportive.
