Top-up programs for UEB's students to study in Massey University

On August 3rd 2018, leaders of VNU University of Economics and Business worked with leaders of Massey University, New Zealand on top up program 2+2 and pre-university course.


Attending the meeting, from the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector, MA. Nguyen Duc Lam - Deputy Head of Research and Partnership Development, MA. Nguyen Thi Phuong Lan - Head of Academic Affairs, Center for International Training and Education. From Massey University, there were Dr. David Tripe - Head of School of Economics and Finance , Dr. Jo Bensemann - Associate Head of School of Management, MA. Ton Ha Lien - School of Economics and Finance.

 
 

Opening the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu recalled the history of cooperation between the two universities. She said VNU University of Economics and Business and Massey University started cooperation since 2008. Since the day, the two universities have achieved a lot of success, especially the top up program 2+2, providing the society with thousands of highly qualified bachelors and human resources to meet the needs of national integration.

The two sides agreed to enhance student exchange, creating conditions for students to acquire multi-dimensional knowledge

 

Recently, the two universities signed an agreement with Nguyen Sieu High School to move on with trilateral cooperation and pre-university course. In particular, students of Nguyen Sieu High School will be given career orientation, admission consultancy and training of soft skills when attending the UEB. After 2 years, the students will have chances to transfer to Massey University and receive a degree from Massey University. The credits of the two universities are interchangeable and recognized by both sides.
In addition, the UEB and Massey University also discussed the idea of ​​cooperation in training master’s and doctoral programs as well as exchange programs. Details of the activity will be discussed in the next meeting.

With this cooperation, opportunities of studying abroad are opened to students of VNU University of Economics and Business. The program will help students gain international bachelor degrees with less time and money but more expose to diversified learning environment and scholarship.
