Launching ceremony of CFA Research Challenge 2015 - 2016

On 12th September 2015, the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics and Business (UEB) coordinated with the Organizing Committee of the CFA Research Challenge 2015 - 2016 officially launched the contest at the Hall 801, E4 Building.
Attending the ceremony, there were Dr. Dinh Xuan Cuong - Associate Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking. In the contest, faculty members will serve as mentors for 7 student teams from 7 major universities in the North (including the Bank Academy, Foreign Trade University, FPT University, Hanoi University, National Economics University, VNU University of Economics and Business).
This is an annual contest held by CFA institutions in order to motivate and promote the next generation of financial experts. The competition is divided into levels: national, regional and global levels. Following the request of the competition, each team will perform an analysis of a company's shares and write a report to the council, which comprises senior financial experts at home and abroad.
After the contest, the four best teams will be chosen to compete at the national level contest held in Ho Chi Minh City. The national champion will continue to compete in regional level contest and subsequently, the global level contest in Chicago (USA). Over 13 years, the contest has constantly expanded with participation from 800 universities in 55 countries.
Vietnam started taking part in the CFA Research Challenge since 2011 and to date, 15 universities around the country have taken part in the competition, including teams from the UEB.

This year, the UEB honored to be co-organizer of the contest. The VNU-UEB team comprises these 5 outstanding students:
