Working with Hung Yen Department of Science and Technology

On 3rd August 2015, the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) had a meeting with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) of Hung Yen province on the implementation of the project "Assessing the impact of industrial clusters and industrial parks to economic and social development of Hung Yen Province".

The research aimed at quantitative measuring impacts of industrial zones (including industrial parks, industrial clusters) for economic and social development of Hung Yen province; thereby proposing orientations and solutions to promote the strengths and minimize negative impacts that may occur during the development of the industrial parks.

Attending the meeting, there were Mr. Vu Van Thang - Deputy Director and leaders of offices. From the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dr. Tran Anh Tai - Vice Rector, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Tu - Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, Head of the research, along with members of the project.

After hearing the report on implementation process of the project, representatives of DOST expressed appreciation for performance of the job. Although the project has just started for 3 months, the estimated deployment has reached 1/3 of the total workload. The two sides also agreed to coordinate plans for the next stage of investigating the impacts of industrial zones to economic and social.

The final report of the project is expected to complete by the end of December 2016. Results of the project will contribute to economic management as well as policy making of Hung Yen province.
