Signing Ceremony of MOU with Portland University

On 7th July 2015, the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) solemnly held a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Portland State University, USA (PSU).
Attending the ceremony, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector and heads of offices and faculties. From the Portland State University, there were Mr. Wim Wiewel - President and Ms. Joyce Hamilla - Director of International Relations.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son highly appreciated the collaborative relationship with the Portland State University - the university is ranked among the 100 best universities in the world. In particular, the cooperation between the two universities will give chances for UEB’s students to access to learning opportunities and valuable experiences.
On behalf of PSU, Mr. Wim Wiewel - President of Portland State University expressed sincere thanks to the UEB for solemnly welcoming the delegation and organizing the ceremony. He highly appreciated the development and reputation of the UEB and desire to build lasting relationships and comprehensive cooperation with the University.

Leaders of the UEB and PSU signed the MOU
After discussion, leaders of the UEB and PSU signed Memorandum of Understanding. Accordingly, the MOU opens opportunities in exchange faculties/students as well as exchange of scientific materials, publications and information between the two universities. In addition, the two sides pledged to strengthen their cooperation in the field of collaborative research and development, joint seminars, workshops and conferences. Both sides also committed towards further agreements, expand areas of cooperation in the future.

The signing of MOU not only marked the first step in cooperation between the two universities but also affirmed the position and prestige UEB in international education community.
