Establish cooperation with Trinity College Dublin, Ireland

On 6th July 2015, leaders of VNU University of Business and Economics (UEB) warmly welcomed representatives of Trinity College Dublin (TCD) to work and exchange with the University.



Those in attendance included leader representatives from the two universities. From the UEB, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector; Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector; Dr. Le Tuan Anh - Deputy Director of Cooperation and Development Department, VNU; Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Research and Partnership Development Office; MA. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Director of Center of International Training and Education. From Trinity College Dublin, there were Mr. Patrick Prendergast - President and Provost; Ms. Juliette Hussey - Vice Director Global Relations, Ms. Karen Mortel - Head of Global Relations Office and Mr. Simon Gavin Williams - Manager of Trinity Foundation.

Beginning the meeting, Mr. Patrick Prendergast introduced to the UEB about Trinity College Dublin, the leading University on the world stage, also named among the world’s most beautiful campuses. Especially, Trinity College Dublin ranked 71 among the best universities around the world. President of TCD expressed his wish to cooperate with the UEB in relevant fields.

In response, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son shared UEB’s activities in research and partnership development. The Rector also mentioned the joint research products with Sydney Univerisity (Australia) and Nagoya University (Japan).

At the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector also named the partnership activities being negotiated between the UEB and the TCD as well as recommendations to implement the MBA and MSc joint training programs, short training courses for senior leaders of big firms in Vietnam, Fresh Alumni Program for MBA learners of TCD in Vietnam etc.

After the meeting, representatives of Trinity College Dublin had an exchange with students, learners, fellows and faculties of the UEB at Hall 801, E4 Building.

In a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere, Mr. Patrick Prendergast introduced to the UEBer about the historic Trinity College at Dublin capital. Answering various questions from students, learners and faculties, President of TCD highlighted its strengths, scholarships and diverse training programs to international students at TCD.
 
Ending the meeting and exchange, the two universities continue with further discussion on specific cooperation programs.
