Graduation ceremony: the Master Program of Public Management, Intake 7th

On 16th May 2015, the VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) has awarded the Master Degree to 14 learners of the Master Program of Public Management Intake 7th (the joint training program with Uppsala University, Sweden).



Attending the Graduation Ceremony were Mrs. Camilla Mellander - Ambassador of the Embassy of Sweden, Mr. Detlef Clöwe - Permanent Representative of Sweden, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Representatives of Uppsala University in Vietnam together with faculties of the university and the Academy of Public Administration of Sweden; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Vice Rector of the UEB, MA. Hoang Thi Bao Thoa - Deputy Director Center of International Training and Education.


Congratulating the new masters at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son recognized the continuous efforts of master learners during the course. This is the first success of the learners on their career paths and pride of the University. The Rector also expressed his sincere thanks to contributions and support of the Embassy of Sweden, the International Partnership Development Organization of Sweden, Academy of Public Administration of Sweden and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, affirming that success of the program greatly contributed to the mission of the University in providing high-quality human resources for the society.

Representatives of Uppsala University - Mr. Detlef Clöwe congratulated the master learners and thanked contributors of the program. He praised continuous efforts of learners during the course and expressed his strong belief in the lasting partnership between the UEB and the Uppsala in particular and between the two countries in general.

Mrs. Camilla Mellander of the Embassy of Sweden said: “Behind the development of any countries is the development of education. Uppsala University has partly contributed to the efficient public administration system of Sweden by providing high quality human resources for State Government for more than 500 years. Since 2008, we collaborated with the UEB to establish this program, hoping it will contribute to the renovation of public policy in Vietnam.”

On behalf of the new masters, MA. Nguyen Ngoc Anh expressed his respect and gratitude to leaders, faculties and staffs of the UEB for continuous support and counsel. The master program has equipped its learners with updated professional knowledge and useful skills, which will accompany them during their career path ahead.

The ceremony ended in joy and cheerful atmosphere. The master degrees awarded today will mark a turning point in the learners’ career paths and affirm success of partnership between the two university.
