Three UEB’s students received Vietnamese Talent Scholarship

On 24th April, 2015, VNU University of Economics and Business (VNU-UEB) held the ceremony of awarding Vietnamese Talent Scholarship funded by IMG Investment Joint Stock Company to excellent students.


Attending the ceremony, there were Dr. Vo Dai Luoc - General Director of Asia-Pacific Research Center, Mr. Le Tu Minh - Chairman of Board of Directors, IMG Investment Joint Stock Company, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - UEB Rector, together with Vice Rectors: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tran Anh Tai, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu; leaders of offices, faculties and UEB’s students.
This is the second year Vietnamese Talent Scholarship has been awarded to the UEB’s students under cooperation agreement of two parties signed in 2013. Through three round interviews, including: record assessment, preliminary council and interview council, the UEB and IMG selected three outstanding students to award Vietnamese Talent Scholarship this year.
  • Khanh Linh Nham (QH-2012-E, International Economics - highly quality program, scholarship valued at 60 million VND,
  • Nguyen Thi Huong (QH-2012-E, Business Administration - highly quality program, scholarship valued at 30 million VND,
  • Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh (QH-2014-E, Finance and Banking - highly quality program, scholarship valued at 10 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son expressed the sincere gratitude to IMG Investment Joint Stock Company and Dr. Le Tu Minh for valuable scholarship. Among many scholarships, this is the highest valued one that UEB’s students were awarded in many years; more especially, scholarship was awarded by a  former student,  which expressed the appreciation as well as interest in the talent development of the country. Dr. Le Tu Minh is the alumni of Cohort 5 (1978 - 1983), Faculty of Political Economics - University of Hanoi (now VNU University of Economics and Business).
For Dr. Le Tu Minh, the UEB was like his second home. He hoped that the scholarship would be the fund to help students nurture, realize their dream and overcome difficulties on the road ahead.
