Cooperation with University of Applied Sciences, Germany

On 14th April 2015, representatives of VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) had a meeting with Prof. Gerald Wogatzki of Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM - University of Applied Sciences, Germany).


Attending the meeting, there were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son - Rector of UEB, Dr. Le Trung Thanh - Head of Office of Research and Partnership Development, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thu - Associate Dean of Faculty of International Business and Economics.
Opening the meeting, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son introduced the UEB as well as operation of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. With the goal of becoming the leading research-oriented university of the country, UEB wishes to expand the network of partners all over the world.

Discussed with the UEB, Prof. Gerald emphasized the desire to cooperate and build up long-term partnership with the UEB, especially in the fields of business management for small and medium enterprises, sustainable development or international affairs. He also added that FHM wish to promote cooperation in exchange programs, collaboration with faculty and experts of the UEB in conducting research of sustainable development, restructure of banking system etc.


Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Hong Son stressed that UEB lays great emphasis on developing networks of partner universities, promotes international integration through faculty/student exchange programs and research project. With a wide range network of partners as well as experiences in implementing exchange programs, UEB is willing to collaborate with FHM in the fields of mutual interest.

Ending the meeting, the two universities agreed to develop further cooperation through contact persons from both sides.


Fachhochschule des Mittelstands (FHM) is a private, non-profit and state-approved University of Applied Sciences. FHM has been founded in 2000 by medium-sized enterprises and educational institutions. Since then it has developed into one of the most successful private universities in Germany and established itself as a reliable partner of medium-sized enterprises.
