Objectives:

The study aimed to investigate the empirical education and training at the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics and Business and then, recommended some feasible solutions for the enhancement of practical application in education.

Main contents:

+ Assessing systematically the educational quality at the Faculty of Finance and Banking in terms of meeting the needs of employers.

+ Suggesting solutions so that the quality of education at the Faculty of Finance and Banking is improved and its products can meet the increasing needs of labor market.

+ Providing some recommendations for the feasibility of solutions to the Faculty of Finance and Banking and the University of Economics and Business.

Results obtained:

+ Implementing the new education framework efficiently

+ Improving the quality of students’ internship operations.

+ Aligning research to practice.

+ Setting up a model with the cooperation of the college and enterprises.

Some recommendations to the Faculty of Finance and Banking and the University of Economics and Business:

+ University of Economics and Business should have relatively forecast the demand of human resources in banking and finance sector.

+ University of Economics and Business should do survey on the employment of new graduated students, particularly in the satisfaction of employers to these students

+ University of Economics and Business should establish a centre for banking and finance practice and development.

+ University of Economics and Business should focus much more on professional improvement to lecturers and facilitate the infrastructure.

+ Faculty of Finance and Banking should expand its cooperation with other partners such as leading companies in banking and finance sector, employ the part-time lecturers who are both famous in this sector and interested in education and training.
