CALL FOR PAPERS, ABSTRACTS, AND PANELS

2015 Biennial Conference

July 30-August 3, 2015

Lisbon, Portugal

Study Tour follows from August 4-8, 2015

THEME: CONNECTING GLOBAL MATTERS: CULTURE, EDUCATION AND GEOPOLITICS

Cultures, education and geopolitics are at the center of some of the most significant aspects of globalization today, and they play a commanding role in arguing types of communities into existence. What is the nexus that exists among the three key variables? To what extent are they tied to the daily lot of global individuals, and with what effect in the 21st century? And what types of engagements with such topics can both scholars and practitioners use to further human understanding today?

Using the spacious theme, “Connecting Global Matters: Culture, Education and Geopolitics,” we seek to highlight and understand the current state of such intercultural dynamics – both the local and the global – from diverse scholarly and professional perspectives.
